HIGH SCHOOL BIBLE CLASS

Today, we sat in and observed the High School Bible class.  It was very different from our regular bible class. For exams, Mrs. Herring would allow them to create note cards to help them study. Miss Burnett would just create a study guide for us.

Old Ford Factory & Bukit Timah

The Old Ford Factory is a historical site. It is where the British surrendered to the Japanese. Bukit Timah hill is where the British and Japanese faught.

Religious Beliefs

I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus is God. I believe that I will go to heaven.

Assassination of Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden was killed a week ago by the United States Military. Americans are very happy that he has died. I do not see how one man's death could make so many people happy.

Father's Day/Small Groups

Father's day is coming up. It is on 19th June this year. I have not planned to do anything for Father's Day yet. I would probably go and make him a Father's Day card.

My small group is fun. I would like to have more time with my small group.

What I did during Spring break

During spring break, I went to Denmark to visit my sister. Denmark is still very cold. The teperature is about 2 degrees celcius. It was fun becuase I could be with my sister after 2 months. The flight was 13 hours long

Actors of the Play

Ghislaine Barkel, Jonathan Dejong, Caleb Rigsby, Zachary Rohl, Taylor Matthews, and Quentin Rohl are just some of the actors and actresses in this week's play. The actors actresses will be performing in the play "The Frogs" and in "Zugzwang" on Friday and Saturday night.

SPRING BREAK

This spring break, I will be going to Denmark to visit my sister. I will visit her dorm where she lives and find places to hang ot in Denmark. Denmark ios very far away. It is still very cold there.

ZUGZWANG

Zugzwang was written by Andre Surridge. The play will be presented by the ICS players.  The venue is in the gymnasium, along with The Frogs by Aristophanes, which I wrote about in earlier pots. Zugzwang is used to describe a position in which doing nothing is the best, but when somethng is done it puts the person in a worse position than you formerly were in. Andre Surridge wrote this play in 1991.

Excel

Today in our Computer Class we learned how to use Microsoft Excel. Excel is a spreadsheet.

WEEKEND

This weekend, I spent a lot of time with my church friends. On Friday we went to go watch a movie at Cathay Cineplex. On Saturday, I stayed at home and slept until 2 in the afternoon. Then, I played video games until late that night.. On Sunday, i went to m........

The job field I would like to pursue

In the future I would like to work in mnistry. I would like to help spread the gospel to different parts of the world. Since my parents are missionaries, I have seen how it is to work with ministry through radio. I want to continue in my family's ministry. When I am older and working, I would like to go to bible school and be invlolved radio ministry as one of the voices on air or helping support funds around the world. I want my work to be serving God and this is the way that I can do it.

Art/Bible class

Today, in our computer class, Mr. Herring brought us to the Art Class and to the High School Bible Class. In the Art Class I saw the students do some sand art. The art was done with glue and different colors of sand. The Bible Class was very different from Ms. Burnett's bible class. The Bible class had to recite 6 verses and had to memorize them.

favorite story character

My favorite character is Nutty from the Happy Tree Friends.... Nutty is my favorite character because he is obbsessed with candy. Nutty is always the victim of horrific accidents that cause him to die. But Nutty always has the courage to come back after dying 29 deaths. Nutty has lost many arms and legs as well. In his first episode, he loses his arm in a vending machine, and in another episode he gets his tail chopped off by a candy cane! I guess I like Nutty because he is always happy and energetic and he is never afraid of death.

MY HOMETOWN

Manila, Philippines

Manila is very special to me because that's my homwtown. When I'm with my relatives, to them, I'm considered the "hometown boy" cause I'm the only one not born in America or is an American Citizen. I lived in Manila for 6 years, and those 6 years were probably the most fun times in my life. The Philippines is also special to me because that is where most of my relatives live.

AMERICA'S CONTRIBUTION TO PHILIPPINE HISTORY

Today, we sat in Mr. Smith's History class. They were learning about Philippine history. Mr. Smith was talking to his class about how the Americans oppressed the Filipinos after the Spanish American war. The Filipinos were not happy about this, they thought they were free after the Americans beat the Spaniards. The Filipinos rebelled and vreated a new fighting style called Arnis. It is a method of fighting. It is mostly fighting with sticks. Arnis is a way to fight aggressively.

The play The Frogs by Aristophanes is one of the only complete examples of Classic Comedy. The play starts off with Diosynus on his way to the Underworld. He must decide who is the better poet between Aeschylusand Euripides. Diosynus picks Aeschylus and the play ends with all of them leaving the Underworld.
